EXPERIENCES & TOURISM ACTIVITIES

8. Green Man Gerês Experiences

Unless expressly stated otherwise, experiences provided by Green Man Gerês are private experiences, carried out exclusively for the person or group making the booking.

Each experience is provided according to the programme, duration, meeting point, maximum number of participants and conditions communicated at the time of booking.

Green Man Gerês is registered under RNAAT 349/2021 and its tourism activities are recognised as Nature Tourism.

9. Experience bookings and payment

Unless specifically stated otherwise at the time of booking, no deposit is required to confirm an experience.

Payment shall be made according to the conditions communicated at the time of booking.

10. Changes or cancellation due to weather conditions

Participant safety always takes precedence over the completion of an experience.

Where weather conditions or other circumstances may compromise safety or the proper execution of an experience, Green Man Gerês may modify, postpone or cancel the experience.

Where Green Man Gerês cancels an experience for these reasons and payment has already been made, the corresponding amount will be refunded.

In duly justified circumstances of force majeure, an alternative date may be proposed.

11. Late arrival

A 15-minute tolerance period applies to the agreed meeting time.

Delays beyond this period may prevent the experience from being completed in full, depending on the route, schedule and operational conditions.

Failure to attend, or a delay that prevents the experience from taking place, may be treated as a cancellation by the participant and may not entitle the participant to a refund.

12. Safety and participation

Participants are expected to wear clothing and footwear appropriate to the season, terrain and nature of the experience.

Each participant must inform Green Man Gerês in advance of any physical condition, allergy, intolerance, limitation or other circumstance that may be relevant to their safety or participation.

Green Man Gerês may refuse or discontinue participation where it reasonably considers that continuing the experience could present a risk to the participant, other persons or the operation itself.

Where minors participate in an experience, responsibility for their supervision and conduct rests with their parents or legal guardians.

13. Insurance

Tourism activities are carried out under the regulatory framework applicable to RNAAT-registered activities and the insurance policies required for the activities concerned.

Green Man Gerês maintains the insurance policies legally required for the activities registered under RNAAT 349/2021.

14. Participant responsibility

Participants must follow the guide's instructions and respect safety rules, the natural and cultural heritage of the areas visited and other people encountered during the experience.

Green Man Gerês cannot be held responsible for consequences arising from failure to follow safety instructions, failure to disclose relevant information or inappropriate behaviour by a participant.

Activities carried out within protected areas are also subject to the rules, restrictions and conditions applicable to the relevant area and activity.

15. Photography and image

Photographs or other visual material may occasionally be taken during experiences.

Where participants are identifiable, any use of such images for Green Man Gerês communication or promotional purposes will only take place where an appropriate legal basis exists, including prior authorisation where required.

Refusal to authorise the use of an image will not affect the participant's ability to take part in an experience.
